Horticulture Help Desk

Extension Brown County Horticulture Staff can help you with questions concerning lawn care, insect and disease diagnosis, gardening, trees, shrubs, and plant and insect identification.

Please use one of the following ways to submit a question:

For accurate identification, please submit 1-2 photos with your question to horticulturehelp@browncountywi.gov. Our horticulture staff will be in touch soon after.

Phone

Call 920-391-4615 and leave a voicemail. The horticulture staff will return your call within 1-2 business days.

Physical Sample

Stop by the Brown County STEM Innovation Center (Room #113) to drop off your plant sample. We’re open Monday–Thursday 7:30 am–5:00 pm and Friday 7:30 am–11:30 am. Just leave your sample, question, and contact information with the front desk, and our horticulture staff will follow up with you via phone or email.

Ask a Gardening Question Form

Similar to our Horticulture Help Desk service, the Ask a Gardening Question Form allows you to attach photos and describe your gardening concern. A Wisconsin Extension Master Gardener or Extension staff will respond to your inquiry within 2-3 business days.
